We have been through so much things together, and so much things we need to catch up with. Especially the blog that have not been redesigned nor been posted anything.

Alhamdulillah, we shall now begin with a new fresh start. From all those years, we have not touched the NADY blog, and now we need to grab the chance and opportunity once again for the new committee.

I hope this will revive from where we suppose to start.

It was brought to our attention that most of you are disappointed, as you will not be able to spend the night in the mosque due to unavoidable plans on Saturday morning, such as school and work.

As'salammualaikum to all of our Muslim Brothers & Sisters out there...

May we do'a you guys a best of health, Insya-Allah.

Just recently, we had an event that had made ourselves stood-up, Alhamdulillah, it was a success for what we have planned even though some part of it was a little out from our plan.

And this wasn't an any of the other events/Qiyams we ever went through.

Anyway, we have invited several youths as our participants from nearby schools, either which was First Toa Payoh School and some from Full-Time Madrasah Schools.

As they waiting for the event to start, they had some dinner prepared by our members.

At the beginning of the event that had happened in the MPH, we had start off by the beautiful recitation of the Qur'an by Bro Hanif. Masya-Allah, it was so marvellous and it sounded so beautiful.

Then after that, we went to the Sky Garden, the Brothers and Sisters we all kind of seperated and so ungrouped. And so we grouped them up and we had some Ta'aruf games, and get them a "little" hype-up. Sis Amirah was the emcee for the games, it was great to get them recognise each other. The rest of the Excos helped up the games too. And we also intoduced to everyone about Rifdi and his graffiti master piece at the outside of our VoiceBox's wall, Rifdi did came for the event as well, he explained about his artwork and everyone were amazed by his work. Good work bro!!! Thumbs up for him...

As the people were hype-up, we introduce them our new kompang group, that showed them that we are something to be proud to have. We had some silat going on too.

After that, we led them to Our VoiceBox, which we had some presentation of our photos, and some introductory talk. The VoiceBox was almost fully packed as well.

For all that talking was done, all were quite hungry, so we had supper prepared. As they were having supper, we were preparing our skit. te name of the skit was "Budak Masjid", Sounds so direct and offencive, but thats what we were about to show to the participants. Its was really sad about the skit that it is really happening to our world right now. And they gather up in the MPH, the Skit starts, it was something to be known off.

After the skit end, we Broters and Sisters spread ourselves to go to our sleep area as it was time to sleep. The guys slept at the VoiceBox level 4, and the girls were in the MPH. Until we wait for the "Qiyammuala'il" which meant Night Prayers.

We woke up at 0430hours for our night prayers, some of our photographers took some photos of the event.

After that we had breakfast, and after breakfast, we prepared ourselves to go for a light jog, before the jog we had warm-up, and after that we go for te jog, it was just a short distance jog, it was just to energised us. Upon reaching the destination, we took photos of us with the mosque as the background. After that, we went to the Bishan Stadium and we had sports such as Captain's Ball, it was fun and get us more hyped up. After that, we went back to our Mosque and cooled down.

And so, after all those tiring sports we played, we settled down and gave the papers for te participants to fill in, as they all handed up what they wrote, we all showed them our event photos and past photos, plus the montage we suppose to show them earlier. And after that we sang and cheered up together, we hug, kiss, and shook hands together. We was a remembering event of all.

Recently, we had CPR(Cakap Pasal Remaja/Talking About Youth), which was located at the Singapore Islamic Hub. Well guys, what do you guys think of this final episode of the CPR? Was it better than the previous CPRs?

Anyway, It shows a skit about Loving Ummah, showing what happened between the poor and rich, whats life in the poor and what it is in the rich. Its so sad that these is happening in our world that rich people aren't being helpful to the poor.

Salam!

Okay. Ini sebenarnya kisah zaman gilang-gemilang (?!?!) masa Ramadhan. Sekarang dah masuk hari ketiga Syawal pun. But you see, I love typing about eventful occasions. Then dah type-type, kalau tak share macam wasted, kan?

The purpose of this note is simple. Between now and the next Ramadhan - given that we live long enough to get there InsyaAllah, each and every single one of us will undoubtedly face many challenges. A year is always filled with changes and obstacles of all kinds, some of which require much work to overcome.

I hope this note will stay with you throughout these hurdles as a reminder on how significant you are, especially during the preparation of the recent Ramadhan Youth Challenge Camp. Yeah, I'm expressive like that...

But you deserve to know how special you are all the same.

This was actually written a few weeks back. Since I'm on holiday and clearly have a lot of time to spare, here goes. For Ramadhan Youth Challenge 2009 - Central Cluster.

Abu Hurairah has quoted a Prophetic saying, "Hoping for good is also an act of worship of Allah." [Tirmidhi and Hakim]

… And so, RYC camp is over. ):

There was never a day that passed without snippets of Ramadhan Youth Challenge crossing my mind. Ever since the camp came to an end, the only thing I’ve been secretly hoping for is a chance for everyone to work as a team again.

Rasulullah S.A.W. says: "A mukmin to another mukmin is like a building, one strengthens the other." [Bukhari and Muslim]

It’s funny how I initially could hardly wait for everything to end, but can’t seem to let go now that it really has. The level of commitment expected really isn’t much compared to all the good we get in return.

So, I question. Dear Sustainer, just how do I express my gratitude? Am I, the mortal with innumerable faults, even capable of doing so? You have blessed me with beautiful gifts in the form of protective brothers and loving sisters this Ramadhan, and I am beyond thankful for them.

"... Men must not ridicule other men for it could be that the ridiculed are better than the mockers, nor must the women ridicule other women for the ridiculed women may be better than the mockers; and do not insult one another, nor assign evil nicknames..." - [Al-Hujurat, 11]

These are the people who made it possible for me to learn more life skills over a short period than I could in any academic year. The strangers-turned-family. The stressed / sleepless nights / frustrated / crying partners. The professional team that made everything memorable with their ability to separate fun and work. They, who more than anything, created inside jokes and laughed with me.

Knowing I’m working with people who act at an attempt to please Allah feels nothing short of good. The last time I felt so satisfyingly complete was… Well, probably Ramadhan last year. The only difference is, this time round, I get to share the joy with a group of indescribably wonderful people.

Hidden amongst the cluster of many unique individuals are my lovely powerhouses, the four people I admittedly cannot pull through without.

"So patiently persevere: for the promise of Allah is, indeed true: nor let those shake your firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith." [Ar-Rum, 60]

Zaky: For being a strong amir, because I can only imagine half the responsibilities and workload you had to fulfill. For standing by us through everything. For tolerating my blurness. For using the best in you to lead. We appreciate all that you have done and I sincerely hope you will eventually stop being critical, and see yourself through our eyes.

Syafiq and Aini: My two pillars of strength, without whom I would totally crumble and die. I’m not even kidding. You are the reason for my sanity throughout the entire camp. Thank you for running around every random place with me. For tolerating me at my stress-est and most annoying forms. For never failing to make me laugh. Both of you mean the world to me, and I could never ask for better program coordinators to work with.

"And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes, lest you lose heart and your resolve weaken; and be patient and persevering: For Allah is with those who patiently persevere." [Al-Anfal, 46]

Amirah(!): For calling and being helpful even when you could not physically attend a meeting. For being the best female emcee any team could ever ask for. For spreading happy vibes to everyone around you. For being the person I know I can run to for anything, anytime. For always being special. You know I love you. <3

To YDOs - the overwhelmingly patient men we cannot survive without, and other fellow programmers and departments that hold everything together (i.e. logistics, administration, facilitators)… Thank you for taking up such important roles. You guys are exceptionally awesome, and I’m truly honoured to have been given the chance to work with you. I love you guys beyond words. I really do. (:

Needless to say, Night of Power (and CPR) was downright remarkable! MasyaAllah. At this particular juncture, I can only pray that Allah bless these committees with the rewards they rightfully deserve. (:

to all Muslim Brothers and Sisters

Great news to tell you guys. Well, recently we had an event that had an impact, for the Central Cluster, we had alot of participants joined the particular event. The pax. was around
150 people, well thats super many people to handle, but in the end, we did manage to handle them all, Alhamdulillah.

The Committees tried hard to manage the participants, among those were the Facilitators, whom tried their best "facilitate" the partcipants, well done guys.

And also the admins as well as progs, who had prepared the whole big event, even though there were ups and downs, they were able to put their smiles onto faces. With all the obsticles they have passed, they manage to put it through. Good job for them.

Not to forget the Logs, whom they supplied the food, DELICIOUS food, thank you for that.

And also the Photographers, well done guys. Without you guys, there are no photos/moments be kept as memories.

The Camp was a great success, and it was the best. Gerek...

Unfolding the Rose,

Sometimes in life we tend to feel uncertain in our path, our lives, the decisions we make. It is during these times that Allah wants us to remember Him, ask help from Him - to simply think of Him.

May this story that I would like to share with you guys throw some light upon us, insyaAllah.

One day, a young and new ustaz was walking with an elderly, more experienced ustaz in the garden. Feeling insecure about what Allah had for him to do, he asked the elderly ustaz for an advice.

The elderly ustaz walked up to a rosebush and handed the young ustaz a rosebud. He told him to open it without tearing off any of the petals.

The young ustaz looked in disbelief at him and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his desire to know the will of Allah for the omnipotence. Because of his great respect for the elderly ustaz, he proceeded to try and unfold the rose, while keeping every petal intact. It wasn't long before he realized how impossible to do the task of peeling the petals. Noticing the younger ustaz's inability to unfold the rosebud, the elderly ustaz began to recite the following poem....

It is only a rosebud,

A flower of Allah's design.

But I couldn't unfold the petals,

With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding the flowers,

Is not known to anyone,

Allah opens this flower so sweetly,

But in my hands they die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,

This flower of Allah's design,

Then how can I have the wisdom,

To unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust in Allah for leading,

Each moment of my day,

I will look to Allah for his guidance,

Each step of the way.

The pathway that lies before me,

Only Allah knows.

I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,

Just as He unfolds the rose.

Maulidur Rasul 2009: Project Smile

Thought of sharing this with everyone, instead of just those on Facebook. (:

My mother asked, "How was it?"

She was amused. Maybe even a little surprised that her two daughters survived an entire day of spring-cleaning without giving up. Then again, how could we? How could we back out when we had so much to give, and surrounded by so much love?

In response to her question, my sister and I tried sharing what happened in between laughters. Mother started laughing probably because our laughters were too contagious, not because of the stories shared.

We had fun.

Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said, "Smiling in the face of your brother is charity (sadaqa)." - Jami Tirmidhi

At this point in time, I'm really so glad that the root of this fun, our niat from the very start, was to seek His blessings and InsyaAllah, be a better Muslim.

I'm certain we all learnt a thing or two from Project Smile. It may not be as successful as we envisioned it to be, but it's safe to say we walked away satisfied. We gave our all - maybe even more. And when we saw Encik. Misron smile... MasyaAllah. It was so beautiful.

Abdullah ibn Haarith, radi Allahu 'anhu said, "I have never seen anyone who smiled more than Allah's Messenger." - Jami Tirmidhi

We didn't get the chance to share what we learnt during post-mortem, so here's my take.

1. I was reminded time and again to be thankful for my family. Alhamdulillah. For I doubt I would be able to enjoy life without the daily company of the people I love, only to be entertained by a television.

2. I was reminded that smiling is effortless and it doesn't take a lot to make someone's day. On a personal note, this is something I really need to work on.

3. I learnt to be thankful for what I've got. My family, friends, house... For they're all never mine to begin with. This is a reminder more to myself than anyone else, to thank Him for lending me so many of His wonderful creations.

So thank you Nady. Thank you for all the laughters, for being awesome pillars of strength, for being the great person He has blessed you to be and making full use of your time at an attempt to please Him.

This extremely wonderful lady will be sitting for her first exam paper today. Please doa for her so that with Allah's Grace, she will be able to excel beyond expectations and become a fantabulous teacher. InsyaAllah. (:

Project Smile

With a pail and a mop,
from bottom to top
we scrubbed and we cleaned
on the dirts we were mean
with dettol and GIF
we obviously made a diff
scrubbing the doors
removing all flaws
locked in the toilet
for the longest period
packed in the kitchen
to lighten all burden
at the end of the day,
tired as we may
we managed a smile
for whatever we did was all worthwhile
WE ARE, PROJECT SMILE :))

Alhamdulilah,

'Project Smile' was planned with objectives of bringing smile to the community.
A community outreach programme which allowed us to get closer to those in need in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul happening at our mosque last weekend. The youths too wanted to contribute so suggestions and ideas led to the 'birth' of this project. We extended our helping hands with the notion of do good feel good and indeed, alhamdulilah, I would like to believe it was a success.

Led by brother Sheikh and Zaky, ten of us
went well equipt with our mops and pails,
dettol and such, all geared up for our adventure.
Of course, what's an adventure without getting lost...
We got lost for all the houses looked the same from the outside.
They all had the same gates and the ultra long corridors weren't of much help either
however, when we did manage to find our way, we all knew it was going to be A DAY.

A very eye opening experience for all of us
with MUCH to be brought back. I would be lying if I said it wasn't tiring
but I would also be lying if I said, I didn't gain anything from it.
Just like Cinderella who managed a happy ending,
we too got our happy ending when we saw the smile on Encik Misron.

Suddenly, all the aching and tiredness disappeared
when he expressed his thanks and how grateful he was
to us for helping him CLEAN and CLEAR his home :)
and I was reminded of something Mother Teresa said
(translated version)

"Yang penting bukanlah jumlah bakti yang kita taburkan
tetapi cinta yang kita curahkan dalam bakti tersebut.
Yang penting bukanlah jumlah sumbangan yang kita berikan
tetapi cinta yang kita curahkan dalam apa yang kita sumbangkan itu."

:) with that, I leave you with a little something my friends.

A smile can help reduce our pain and lighten our despair
but trust in Allah gives inner peace and joy beyond compare.

Apologies for the late uploading. Well, here were the photos taken on the event itself (On the right-side of the Blogpost).

It was the biggest event yet for the month of March, and I must say this was a remarkable one. The event went on smoothly even though the quantity of the participants were small, and thanks to those well-trained fascilitators who had been very cheerful and energetic through-out the whole event. Without them, it will be a boring one.

There were a lot of cool games and also something we had learnt from the event. Such as knowing how direct the kiblat using the Stars, and using compass. It was fun.

Well, it was cool to get to know the participants, thank you for attenting the event.

Planning for 2009

As'salammualaikum Wr Wb. To all Bros/Siss

With blessing from Allah that we had done our planning.We had came out some rough ideas, plans and suggestions about what we goingto do on this whole year 2009:).

By following the concept of OUTREACH, ENGAGE & DEVELOPE. Hopefully, these will help us move on to the next level.

We were spread out into minor groups and get into our specified departments. As we done with that, each of the departments start out with giving out ideas/plans of wanting have an event/activity on the particular month(s).

And we also set up some goals on what going to do, what to achieve.

Muhammad Raiyan was infected with HFMD two years ago, at age one. The infection not only damaged his brainstem, but also his abilities to breathe, digest and swallow. His heart and eye movements were affected too. Raiyan is currently bedridden and his single mother has been struggling to make ends meet.

Fortunately, Dr. Prem Pillay generously waived the cost of surgery that will give Raiyan an 80% chance of recovering. Raiyan’s family however, is still short of $75,000.

To help Raiyan and his family, Republic Polytechnic will be holding a fund raising event consisting of performances and a flea market at the South Agora from the 20th to 21st of November. This event will take place from 11am to 6pm.

Muhammad Raiyan’s story was also reported in The Straits Times.

Alhamdulillah, we had finally gone Rayau Raya, which was visiting one of our houses, and we visit not because of duit raya. It just to being closeness to our silaturrahim, and seek for forgiveness and/or do'a.

We do enjoyed it, even though its not that much. But at least, we had visited some nice houses, and ate some delicious food that has been served. It was really good.

And photos was taken at point-to-point to show that what we had done, and we really enjoyed it.

Alhamdulillah, Night Of Power @ Sultan Mosque was a great experience yet, thank you for those who came and joined us. We appriciate it a lot.

We sure do enjoyed The CPR, which was a shown a skit about these four boys, who later grew up became four different individuals. But these four guys promised themselves to be true bonded brothers. It was a touching story.

Hey guys, sorry tak update pasal CPR(Cakap Pasal Remaje).

A talkshow for youths. it is jointly organised by 7 different mosques with the support from MUIS. Its a monthly event just for youths like us!

Cakap Pasal Remaja is a 8-months series of forums presented to u by YoungMuslims.sg. CPR is interactive, highly entertaining and enriching in nature and includes a variety of interesting activities and segments such
as live performances by celebrities, talkshows and interviews are all to be fit into an hour and a half.

The programme will be conducted on a monthly basis on a Friday evening after Isyak, with each session taking place at a different locations.

As'Salammualaikum Bro/Sis

Alhamdulillah, we had done one of our biggest events in An-Nahdhah. It was a great success, even though it was a last minute thing, but we made it. A big thanks to Ustaz Khai, Sis Nurul Nets, our chairman and vice-chairman of the event, Bro Piee and Bro Afiq. And thanks to the guys who helped out in the event. We really appreciate it.

Anyways, lets talk about the event. Before we had the festival started, we had prepared some stuff for the event itself, that was why we had a Qiyam. On the night before the event, we had some ta'aruf, fun games and something like a session or a short program.

On the day itself, we had Treasure Hunt and the Skit. So we wrapped packages for the winner of the treasure hunt and the skit(actually for the skit was for fun only). We spent hours and hours preparing it. And practised for the skit. It was quite tiring that made us sleepy.

Then, on the day itself. We manage to prepare the thing for the Treasure Hunt and when the madrasah students came, we gathered them into the "MPH", and then briefed them at the roof top. Then after that start off with the treasure hunt. It was a fun experience. The facilitators had done their job by facilitating the students in the game.

A lot of photos were taken during the game, and after the Treasure Hunt. We had the Skit entitled "Si Budin" which we had prepare it quite sometime ago. And as the students gathered in front of the stage where the skit held, as the skit began. It started off with some introducing and then the skit starts. Some part of it was funny.

After that, we had prize presentation for the winners of the treasure hunt and the skit. And then it ended with a do'a.

We had a great experience upon of the event.

Maulid Festival @ Nahdhah

There will be a Maulid Festival on the 29th March 2008.

We are going to have a short skit titled "Si Budin" and
a tresure hunt.

Its going to be a fun experience, so do come down with your friends.

Chalet Meet up

Lets refrek back on the event...

That night, at that point of time, everyone in chalet were having some free-time. Some were having some conversations, most of them were eating and some of them were cooking BBQ. I made bonds with most of the brothers, even the ustaz. They were really friendly.

So, after our Isyak prayers. The next program starts, which was something like “ceramah”, guided by Ustaz Jamal, he talked about a lot of things, important factors,
giving out ideas on how to become a better Muslim. Some examples were these two particular individuals; they were among Rasulullah’s Sahabahs. Who fought in the
war of Uhud and syahid. Among of them was Hamzah r.a. But Ustaz was emphasized
on these particular two who’s named if I not wrong was Mus’ad Bin Ubair and Hanzollah. They have a story to tell before they died. First was Mus’ad, he was the richest guy amongst the people of Mecca, he was the Idol of fashion at that time. But after he converted into Islam, everything changed. And about Hanzollah, one day before the war. He had married with a beautiful wife, and on the of the day of the war, he rushed, without
bathing, he just went through along side with Rasul s.a.w. in the war. And when he
died, when the other Sahabahs wanted to carry him, Rasul told them to halt, because
an angel was bathing him. And when they carry him, his body was all wet. And that’s
the end story. The important factor was, they were loyal to Islam, they were some more factors, but I forgot.

After all that finished, we gone to the bbq site to eat some bbq food, it was really delicious. There were varieties of food, such as otah-otah, satay, hot-dogs etc.

Then after that, we had some cool games, watched a video about young Muslims
around the world and reflect on that. We had so much fun.

Then, on the next day, we continue with some games after we had subur prayers,
before we start the games, we had some breakfast. We had lontong for breakfast.
Then everybody finished eating, we started the games. There was lots of laugher
around. As the games ended, we packed up, and we gather up together and we hug
each other as Muslims. It was also a sad thing as it ended so fast. I manage to take
some of their numbers. After that, we all gone back home.

Alhamdulillah,finally,we have finalised our Nady logo.
and it was officially been finalised on 27th November 2007.

Insya-Allah,our logo will be put up as our trademark for all events.

Thanks to the MMCs(A new name in replacement of PR) for designing
such a good logo.

Yey,de YIC was a great success for us.Alhamdulillah,
even though our ppl was in small number.We still manage to
do it.Give ourselves a pat on de shoulder.

Thank You very-very much on preparing hard for this

This was our first picnic day ever,organised by our sisters.Led by Juwairiah & frens,it was a great success for us.It was fun yet tiring too,when we reach there around 9 or so,we ate some breakfast that our Sis brought.Then,we had Ta'aruf,knowing each other.After the dzhur prayers,we had lunch and continued playing more exciting games such as captain's ball and rounders,it was really fun.
